DSC00618Looking to build on the digital care services introduced in STOPandGO, Liverpool City Council assisted by the Innovation Agency and KTN partners launched #StitchHack – a hackathon to envisage future care services for the city. Hosted at the newly opened Sensor City with its living lab facilities and with technical support provided by Amazon Web Services and Stream Technologies, the hackers are an eclectic mix of designers, geeks, carers and (importantly) users. The key themes are exploring ambient low power radio (LoRa) sensing and data analytics – what could/should you measure and how do you use and mix that data to be able to predict service needs and avoid crises? It kicked off on Monday 11 September and will run until Friday the 15th. #StitchHack has 5 days to save the future of care services!
